What is Vype?

Simply put, Vype is an e-cigarette manufacturer that focuses its efforts on creating high quality alternatives to traditional cigarettes. To accomplish this, Vype draws on BAT’s (British American Tobacco) 100+ years of experience as a cigarette manufacturer to create a modern alternative that is uniquely satisfying.

What products does Vype offer?

Vype primarily focuses its efforts on creating impressive pod-based vape kits. This style of vape has become incredibly popular in recent years and is often seen as the perfect device for smokers looking to transition into vaping.

While the company does produce a variety of devices, 180 Smoke currently carries the Vype ePen 3 and the Vype ePod. Both are available as full starter kits, and replacement pods for each device can also be purchased at 180 Smoke.

How do I use my Vype device?

Both of the devices carried by 180 Smoke were built with simplicity in mind and are perfect for transitioning smokers. Both devices (the ePen 3 and the ePod) are closed pod systems, meaning they cannot be filled with e-juice and work with pre-filled pods.

The ePen 3 does feature a firing button, which is also used to turn the device on and off with 5 clicks. The button must be pressed down for vapor to be created and must only be done while the user is inhaling from the device. Unlike the ePen 3, the ePod utilize draw activation. This means vapor is produced simply by having a user inhale through the mouthpiece.

Regardless of what Vype device you end up choosing, it is important to understand how to use each vape.

Users simply need to insert a pod on the top of the device and press the fire button five times. These five clicks can be used to turn the device on and off, something you should be doing every time the device is not in use. Replacing the pod is incredibly simple as it is press fit and can be removed easily by hand.

  1. Don’t have instructions. Gifted. How long to charge. Do you have to remove juice cartridge before charging? Can or do you leave it charging overnight? I love this thing. Please inform me.

    1. Charging time will depend on how often you use your device but it should take an hour to fully charge. You can leave the cartridges in while charging and it is fine to leave charging overnight.

      1. actually dont leave the cartidges in because i did that and it drains or leaks and wasts my pod pretty much so charge without the juice

  2. Hi, I’ve been trying to cut down on smoking and I bought the epod starter kit. It’s been amazing for the last month up until last night. When I puff on it it doesn’t draw anything. The pod is still 3/4 full. And I tried charging it. Still nothing fully charged. I tried cleaning it as described in the instructions and still nothing. I have the reciept. Is there anything else I can try? Or will i be reimbursed for it being faulty?

    1. Unfortunately, we do not have international delivery at this time. You can try contacting Vype directly, but if your country has a ban on the importation of nicotine-containing vaping products this may be difficult.

  3. I’ve been a cigarette smoker since I was 11…I decided to try to use this method in an effort to quit the habit as I’ve tried the Chantix and it made me so sick that I had to stop.. I’ve been using the vape-out method to accomplish this. I still miss holding a cigarette but am determined to give up smoking for good. One thing I dislike is that I find it hard to assertain how much liquid that is left in the cartridges, I will whean myself off using your product. Please make the cartridges clear so we can tell how much product is left in the cartridge. Thank you!

  5. Do any of these people realize how dangerous vaping with e-liquid is for their lungs? Quite a few people in both Canada and the USA have died from using it. The only safe vaporizers use dried materials!!!

    1. Hi Amy,

We wrote an article about the EVALI outbreak that covers what is thought to be the key culprit by the CDC, Vitamine E acetate. None of the eliquids we carry contain this ingredient, it was mostly used in blackmarket THC cartridges, not products found at vape stores like 180 Smoke.
