National Indigenous Peoples Day is June 21, 2022, and 180 Smoke is working with Water First to help the charity’s efforts towards addressing water challenges in Indigenous communities across Canada.
The organization works with Indigenous communities to build capacity locally, collaborating to address both drinking water and environmental water concerns, and 180 Smoke is committing to donating the equivalent of $1 per every transaction made through 180 Smoke (and/or our sister store, offside cannabis) on National Indigenous Peoples Day, across online/e-commerce and in-store purchases.
If you’re interested in supporting Water First above and beyond 180 Smoke’s campaign during National Aboriginal Day, you can donate directly here, as well as learn more about the water challenges facing Indigenous communities in Canada.
While 180 Smoke’s main mandate is helping people transition to a smoke-free life, doing it in a sustainable, environmentally-friendly way is just as, if not more, impactful, and supporting other efforts like the water crisis facing Indigenous communities is a big part of who we are as an organization and a community.
Most recently we also launched the Smoke-Free Recycling Program in partnership with Rothman’s, Benson & Hedges (RBH), an industry-first approach that accepts and recycles smoke-free products from any RBH competitor brand in Canada. Meaning consumers can recycle, or safely dispose of any vape pods, vape devices, used heated tobacco sticks, and heated tobacco devices, as well as cigarette butts in 180 Smoke Vape Stores.
Please help us raise more awareness around the work Water First is doing, and be part of our donation campaign on National Indigenous Peoples Day! As mentioned, we will donate $1 for every purchase through 180 Smoke or our sister store, offside cannabis, either online or in-store on June 21. We’ll update the blog soon with our final tally, so stay tuned for more details.
